Renew a Let’s Encrypt certificate

This page is applicable to NetConnect X 1.5 and above

A Let’s Encrypt certificate generated through NetConnect is valid for 90 days, however it can be renewed at any time by navigating to the Generate Public Certificate page and repeating the same process which was followed when the certificate was first generated.

The same prerequisites must be in place as when the certificate was first created, specifically:

  • An A Record is created within your public DNS that points your nominated hostname/URL to the Public IP address assigned to the NetConnect environment.
  • Traffic via Port 80 (HTTP) is open in both directions.

Additionally, the same rate limits apply when regenerating a certificate:

  • There is a limit of 5 failed attempts per hostname, per hour.
  • You are able to generate a maximum of 5 certificates per domain, per week.
  • No more than 50 certificates can be created per week, per domain.

For more information on using Let’s Encrypt through NetConnect, see the Generate Public Certificate page
